Choosing the right camera lenses for your kit can be confusing. There are so many options, a lot depends on the type of photography you shoot and in the end, it all comes down to personal preference. I've outlined my top three go-to camera lenses and why I constantly reach for them when shooting!
My Top 3 Favorite Lenses
These are my top 3 go-to lenses that I always have in my kit:
Canon 16-35 mm
Canon ultrasonic 24-70 mm
Canon Ultrasonic 70-200mm
Canon EF 16-35mm USM Lens
This is an awesome all-around travel lens. Personally, I carry the Canon 16-35mm lens around with me and use it during my travels. This lens is lightweight, so it doesn’t feel burdensome to have it with me while I'm exploring new places during my adventures. Because the Canon 16-35mm is an ultra-wide lens, it is a great option for landscape photography and allows me to shoot vast scenery in detail. The focal length range is great for travel but also for everyday use and would also make a solid wedding or event lens.
Canon Ultrasonic 24-70mm Lens
I call this camera lens my "walking lens" because I carry it with me daily! The Canon Ultrasonic 24-70mm lens is my go-to lens because I am able to use it for landscapes, architecture, portraits, street photography and more. It is a solid all-around lens, and one I would definitely recommend you add to your photography lens kit!
Canon Ultrasonic 70-200mm Lens
The Canon Ultrasonic 70-200mm lens is perfect for closeups of people or animals. I don't use this lens as much with wildlife, unless the subject of my shot is fairly close to me. I do however, love this lens for photographing my dogs! I have also found this lens to be incredible when it comes to capturing children's expressions, so it would make a great child photographer or family lifestyle photography lens.
There you have it! My top 3 favorite go-to lenses that I always have in my photography kit.
